Terms of Service
Last updated: August 13, 2026
By using Bridgit (the "Service") at settledbybridgit.com or in the Bridgit apps for iOS and Android, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. "Service" means the website and the mobile apps together — these Terms apply the same way on all of them.
These Terms are an agreement between you and the company that operates the Service:
Bridgit Networks Inc.1111B S Governors Ave

"Bridgit", "we", "us", and "our" in these Terms mean Bridgit Networks Inc.
Bridgit facilitates real-world activity matching and connections. We are not a dating app — we are a platform focused on shared interests and purposeful activities. Professional networking, friendship, and activity partnerships are all welcomed connections. We also host public events and partner-led venue programs.
You must be at least 18 years old to use Bridgit. Bridgit is an adults-only service and accounts for minors are not permitted under any circumstances. We ask for your date of birth when you sign up and refuse any account below the minimum age. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this age requirement and that the information you provide is accurate. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 18, we close it.
✓ Do
- • Be respectful and authentic in all interactions
- • Meet in public places for first activities
- • Provide accurate information in your profile
- • Report inappropriate behavior or content
- • Show up to activities you have committed to
- • Use the platform for its intended purpose of activity matching
✗ Don't
- • Harass, threaten, or discriminate against others
- • Share inappropriate or offensive content
- • Use Bridgit to endanger, sexualise, groom, or exploit a child in any way — this is grounds for immediate permanent removal and referral to the authorities
- • Create an account, or help anyone create an account, for someone under 18
- • Submit photos containing minors, nudity, weapons, or that depict third parties without their consent — automated moderation will reject these and repeat offenses lead to suspension
- • Create fake profiles or impersonate others
- • Attempt to extract, scrape, reverse-engineer, or train other models on Bridgit content, the matching algorithm, or AI explanations
- • Use the platform to evade trust & safety actions taken against another account
- • Use the platform for commercial purposes without permission (Business Partner programs are the sanctioned route)
- • Share personal contact information publicly in profiles or activities
- • Spam or send unsolicited promotional content
Our platform is built on trust and mutual respect. We have zero tolerance for:
- • Harassment, bullying, or threatening behavior
- • Discriminatory language or actions based on race, gender, religion, sexuality, or other protected characteristics
- • Spam, scams, or fraudulent activities
- • Sharing of inappropriate, harmful, or illegal content
- • Repeatedly not showing up to confirmed activities without notice
- • Attempting to circumvent safety features or privacy controls
Violations may result in account suspension or permanent ban.
Bridgit is for adults aged 18 and over. We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation. Any account used to produce, share, solicit, or seek such material — or to target a minor in any way — is removed permanently and reported to the appropriate authorities. We do not issue warnings for this.
If you encounter this on Bridgit, report it in the app or write to support@settledbybridgit.com. Our full Child Safety Standards set out how we prevent, detect, and respond to it.
Always meet in public venues for first activities. Use our venue suggestions, which are verified public locations.
If something does not feel right, trust your gut. You can always cancel or leave an activity if you feel unsafe.
Do not share personal contact information (phone, email, social media) in public activity descriptions or profiles. Use our in-app messaging until you're comfortable.
Activities under /activity/* are private — only the host and matched participants can see them. Events under /events/* are publicly readable, with shareable QR posters and Open Graph metadata.
Don't post anything to a public event you wouldn't put on a public web page. Personal contact info, sensitive data, or anything you wouldn't want indexed by search engines doesn't belong there.
We grant you a personal, non-transferable licence to install and use the Bridgit apps on devices you control, for the purposes described in these Terms. Where you obtained the app from an app store, that store's own terms also apply to the download.
Device permissions. The apps ask for location, camera, notification, and calendar access. Every one is optional, is requested only when you use the feature that needs it, and can be withdrawn in your device settings — the app keeps working without them. What each permission is used for is set out in our Privacy Policy. Bridgit never reads your location in the background and never reads your calendar entries.
Push notifications. If you allow them, we send alerts about matches, messages, and activities. You can turn them off per category in your Bridgit notification settings, or entirely in your device settings.
Deleting your account. You can delete your account from inside the apps at Profile → Settings → Delete account. You do not have to contact us, and we do not put the option behind a support request.
Bridgit uses third-party AI to generate match explanations and to rank results semantically. Match explanations are AI-generated and may be wrong or omit context. Don't rely on them for legal, medical, financial, or personal-safety decisions. Embedding-based ranking is similarly probabilistic — being matched does not imply endorsement, and not being matched does not imply incompatibility.
Bridgit lets businesses claim a venue profile, publish offers to Bridgit users, and connect with other partners. We also run time-limited campaign programs that partners can take part in — the first was run together with the San Francisco Chamber of Commerce. Campaigns start and end; this section applies to any partner account, whether or not a campaign is running.
- • Eligibility. A partner account must be claimed by an authorized representative of the business. Eligibility is verified by matching your sign-in email to the contact email associated with the venue record.
- • Accuracy. Partners warrant that the information they provide (hours, capacity, services, supported teams, offers, needs, imagery, contact details) is accurate, lawful, and that they have permission to publish it.
- • B2B Connections opt-in.By completing the claim wizard, you agree that the offers and needs you publish may be matched against other partners' offers and needs and that an introduction may be initiated when both sides opt in.
- • License grant.Partners grant Bridgit a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display the content they supply or authorize — venue name, logo, hours, photos, description, offers and needs — together with public information about the venue such as its Google rating, to users on Bridgit's partner-facing and campaign surfaces. The license is limited to operating and promoting the Service, and it lasts only as long as the partner account is open: it ends when the partner removes the content or the account is closed.
- • What we share back.Aggregate analytics about visit volume, ranges of expected visitor traffic, and category-level demand. We do not share individual users' personal information with partners.
- • Termination. Either side may terminate at any time. On partner-initiated deletion, the venue is unlisted from user-facing surfaces within 7 days; aggregate analytics may be retained.
You retain ownership of content you post but grant us the rights necessary to operate the platform. You may not use our platform content, design, or algorithms without permission. Respect others' intellectual property rights.
"Bridgit" and "Social life settled" are trademarks of Bridgit Networks Inc. Partner and campaign marks — for example the San Francisco Chamber of Commerce lockup used in our first campaign program — remain the property of their respective owners and are displayed only with that owner's permission.
We provide the platform "as is" and cannot guarantee specific outcomes from using our service. We are not responsible for the actions of other users or events that occur during activities. Use common sense and prioritize your safety.
Our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted or error-free.
You may delete your account at any time — in the iOS and Android apps at Profile → Settings → Delete account, or on the web from your profile settings. If you have already uninstalled the app, you can request deletion by email instead. There is no recovery window: deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.
Deletion erases your personal information and deactivates the underlying account record. We remove personal information within 30 days, except where we are required to keep it for legal compliance, dispute resolution, or trust & safety. Reports and ratings you submitted may be retained pursuant to our Privacy Policy. Backups roll off on the standard backup-rotation cadence. Our Account Deletion page lists exactly what is erased and what is kept.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or for other legitimate reasons, including protecting user safety.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Bridgit launches in the United States; disputes arising from the Service will be resolved first through informal good-faith negotiation. If we cannot resolve a dispute informally, the parties agree to attempt resolution in the state or federal courts located in San Francisco County, California.
(This section needs founder review before public ship — including whether to add an arbitration / class-action waiver.)
We may update these terms periodically. We'll notify users of significant changes through the platform. Continued use after changes indicates acceptance of the updated terms.
